I know of PewDiePie but have never actually seen any of his work.

You really draw some very expressive characters.

I love how the eyes are played around with.

The audio recording has brought your character to life.

Your character is Pewdiepie.

The subtle poses although subdued still shown a lot of signs of life.

The overall movie was fun to watch.

I decided to seek out your other works after watching one of your movies.

The drawings in this cartoon displays more predominant anime influences than your later works.

The characters are very lively and expressive.

I can easily picture your later works having cute characters but with more distinctive qualities.

I personally didn't laugh at this cartoon but did have plenty of fun watching it.

The female character was surprisingly expressive as well.

I seen a lot of cartoons where the female character was dead eyed compared to the male characters.

Women in real life can often make really funny facial expressions.

I'll give you extra points for carefully observing the kinda faces women make to enhance your cartoon comedy.

Keep developing your skills and allow yourself to utilize observation from reality.

How you see the world will really bring an extra layer of originality to your work.

I see a lot of charm to your work so far.

Thanks a lot ! I will definitely try to observe my surroundings more in order to replicate it in my animations. I'll try my best !

I would rate this movie as objectively bad.

This movie although bad has some strong element of charisma, charm and entertainment value.

The music is very catchy and the animated loops acted like a repetitive music video.

The flashing lights in the background were annoying.

The characters did have cute designs but appeared to be an imitation of chibi anime.

These same characters also had stock facial expressions.

Carefully observe real life for ideas on new cartoony facial expressions.

You can certainly exaggerate real life facial expressions to create something new.

The overall cartoon still looked lively to me despite it's obvious objective flaws.

You might have the potential to create something cool and unique.

You are already showing signs of developing an entirely unique drawing style.

I did rate this movie as objectively bad but it still entertained me anyways.

I look forward to your other works.

Better luck next time.

KimiOmega responds:

Yeah, I'm gonna be honest, this animation was made in 2 hours (restrictions due to my birthday getting close to an end and I wanted to upload something on my Youtube channel to celebrate) so it is the reason it is not my best animation. Also the animation is blurry for some unknown reasons. Thank you for the constructive criticism, it's always appreciated :]

Interesting concept of simulating old animation; However, it doesn't look a thing like classic animation from anywhere that I seen.

Perhaps you can study the techniques of old cartoons by reading old art books such as a preston blair book for example.

You could also study old live action movies, old cartoons, ect.

I really like the simulated film look.

The picture had scratches, sometimes flickered and the picture would sometimes have other film like mistakes.

I'd be interested in seeing how your new movies look.

Keep making new stuff.

thaKclucle responds:

Thanks for the advice, as far as future projects go I'll certainly be doing more research on very old films, glad you enjoyed some of the concepts.

I didn't understand the guy's last line of dialogue.

Your voice actor needs to speak with more clarity.

Voice acting can be a difficult job since cartoon characters need to have a distinct voice.

The voice acting needs to speak loud and clear.

The voice actor also needs to express character emotions verbally.

It'll be your job to give your actors clear directions to get the best possible performance.

Since you created the movie.

You'll be the best person for the job of acting as director.

A voice acting needs a distinct voice for your character, speak loud and clear and express emotions.

Your job is to direct the voice actor into fully utilizing their talent to get what you want.

You might need additional voice actors especially if your characters of different sexes.

If you can find an actor that can convincingly voice both a boy and girl than only one actor would be needed for this movie.

You likely won't find an actor or actress that can voice both sexes in most situations.

Always try to get extra actors and only make exceptions for actors talented enough to not sound like the same person.

The boy in your cartoon has a more expressive face than the girl.

I've observed girls in real life that often make very funny facial expressions.

I've never seen those sort of funny facial expressions on female cartoon characters and would really want to see girls make lively expressions.

Your girl was emotionally stiff compared to the boy.

You could draw the girl making a face like she is creeped out to enhance certain gags.

Observe girls more carefully and pay close attention to the kinda faces they make.

Freeze frame live action video of expressive girls.

Have female friends act out your cartoons to inspire you.

I hope my review and criticism help with creating better movies.

Best of luck in the future and keep making new cartoons.

Thank you for your review though, it was extremely helpful! :)

Your backgrounds have always been my favorite visual element of the yonder ho series; However, a lot of it's moving parts were a bit distracting.

It sometimes took attention away from your characters.

Your backgrounds can both look cool and assist with bringing increased attention to your characters.

Think of the background as creating an invisible frame.

Work on training your audience to pay most attention to the important parts.

Your characters will need to behave in ways to attract attention to themselves.

This might mean hair and clothes moving in the wind but slightly faster than the background plant life.

I don't often see plant life moving in the wind included in a whole lot of animation.

moving backgrounds was a cool addition and I hope my criticism will help create improved new episodes.

This series is really good and pleased to notice that you never settled on the same battling average.

Your always trying to make the show better and it has shown in your work.

I hope your future movies start winning awards and front page placement.

Keep up the good work and I hope my small bit of criticism helps.

Bertn1991 responds:

Thank you so much for watching! I completely respect your criticisms and appreciate the honest feedback. You are truly the best kind of fan :)

The look of this episode was very experimental. Maybe you're right, though. Maybe there is too much movement. With the new episode I'm working on I've been messing around with blur effects to try to take focus off of the backgrounds so maybe that'll make things a bit better.

Front page you say? You're very kind, but I don't think I'm there quite yet hehe. Maybe if I keep listening to you, huh ;)

This has a lot of potential to create a way better fan movie based on Spy vs Spy.

The clay figures are great and I really love the clay props too.

The clay figures can be improved upon by adding arms and legs.

I have no other criticism about the clay figures themselves.

Both spy voices sounded like the same guy doing both voices.

It's difficult to have distinct voices come from one actor but it is possible.

Sometimes using an extra actor can often be a better idea.

The overall movie was very funny.

Your voice actor has a great sense of humor and added comedy to this cartoon.

I would be interested in seeing another more advanced claymation from you.

Perhaps you could create sets, use models and create an entire claymation world.

Best of luck on all your future movies.

You show a lot of potential in your work so far.

The previous submission watched while bad shows a very high level of potential to be very successful.

I really like the cute character designs.

Your characters are really cute.

If you can get your buttons to work than you can easily create a very interesting game.

Do you have flash?

A game could be created from primitive action script.

You have a very cool idea and I would like to see you become a lot more successful.

You are off to a better start than most other artists on this site.

scottie2006 responds:

First of all, this was my FIRST project, and got deleted,SECOND,I learned more about using this.

This could be a game sometime.

Just gotta fix the problems, and time to work on the story!

This submission looks like it was intended to be an interactive video game.

The video format is not appropriate unless it is for a console such as Wii-U, X-box, Play-Station, ect.

I would present this submission as a shock wave file.

The cool thing about flash is that you can create working buttons.

You can even create features that interact with a computer keyboard.

The character designs of this submission is very cute.

Perhaps use the newgrounds dumping grounds feature for testing.

Cool idea but farther tests are needed.

Your character's legs are too far away from each other.

Actual human legs are a bit more close together.

You can practice drawing walk cycles by carefully observing the complexities of the human form first.

Than carefully observe how the joints in the human form are all connected to each other.

The foot alone has a lot of flexible parts in it.

Wiggle your foot and you notice a lot of movable parts inside.

Act out your poses to create reference material such as photographs or video.

My little brother once helped me with a drawing by acting out poses.

You will need to see what your intended pose looks like ahead of time.

Acting out your pose and creating reference material will make your work a lot easier.

The actual movie itself is not just some random walk cycle.

I seen random walk cycles posted here all the time.

A walk cycle by itself is not very entertaining to watch.

The walk cycle is used to get from point a to b.

Your character walked towards an electrical outlet.

That same character than stuck his finger into that same electrical outlet.

The next part of the movie than concluded at a quick punch line.

This quick gag movie had a very simple start, middle and end.

Start- walk cycle.

Middle- walk cycle ends at electric outlet. Your character sticks his finger in outlet and gets a shock.

End- Punchline to the movie.

This movie has entertainment value and it quickly made it's point without filler.

The walk cycle and poses can use a bit of improvement and hopefully my review has helped provide constructive criticism.

Keep making those movies.

-Mightydein

TreeBoar responds:

Yeah I didn't intend for the walk cycle to be a main focus of the short. But yeah I'll use more reference material next time I can totally see how that would make my work easier. I'm not sure I'd call the character a human haha. Not quite sure what he is.

I created cartoons for newgrounds since 2003 and collaborated with artists such as livecorpse, Billy Monks and others.
I'm also known as PowerRangerYELLOW on my alt account.
I hope to make more cartoons soon.
