I thought the cartoon was very silly and has bit of gory sense of humour.

The antics of a cut-up are to be expected from a flash cartoon about knives.

It's been a slice.

Ibiglarva responds:

I didn’t use flash to make this, at the time I was pretty bad with flash, and didn’t understand it so well, I used FlipaClip to make it instead which I thought the cartoon was okay. I am probably gonna cancel L.O.A and make a different episode cause I have lost my laptop a while back if you seen the post and I don’t have backups. I will make Land of awesomeness still, but I am working on a different series now.

I really love the premise of pure muppet ending up in jail.

It has a lot of potential for humor

I found the title very eye catching because the pube muppet is a very unscrupulous character and a total pervert beyond comprehension.

I can imagine that certain aspects of jail would either make pube muppet very happy or extremely unhappy.

The very topic of the movie has much more room to tell more a complicated story than what you posted.

You got the nature of the pube muppet's changes down and his reactions to being in jail.

You forgot a lot of other details such as the pube muppet going to court and having him go to trial.

Puppet muppet hiring a lawyer to defend him from the most vile possible crime has a lot of potential on it's own.

puppet muppet hiring lawyer is just more than perfect for pube muppet goes to jail.

You can also handle how pube muppet can get himself into farther trouble while in jail such as being thrown into solitary confinement.

I'm basically over analyzing a very unsophisticated and goofy spam comedy movie but just only wanted to highlight the possibility of more comedy potential in your movie.

I thought it was pretty funny but going overboard on these kinda details would have made this movie even more crazy.

I loved it.

JackfruitClock responds:

Thanks for the suggestions, maybe I’ll try it in a part 2.

You got some really good looking character animation.

I especially love how you drawn the clothing wrinkles hanging off of Misato's chest area.

It reminded me of clothing hanging off of a real person but in a much more exaggerated and cartoony way.

it was like loose hanging clothing but not exactly like realistic clothing wrinkles at the same time.

It's actually amazing how a series of simple lines, curves and brush strokes describe so much all at once.

excellent detail control.

I'd be interested in seeing how your next cartoons play with light and shadow.

keep studying from all things including reality itself.

You clearly have a lot of strength as a character animator and I look forward to seeing how your works get better and better.

Your are already off to more than a strong start and obviously a very experienced character animator.

That was a very cool 5 seconds.

I'll have to keep an eye on you and look into your other works.

kajiuna responds:

Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback I really appreciate your time! :)

It's very cool to some new stuff from the old star syndicate.

These quick little shorts are all funny.

I really love you thought of a creative way to tell the same story points in an already animated scene.

The teleportation device used to leave the scene works perfect as a visual gag.

using a walk cycle to leave would also work but that doesn't tell a very interesting story at all.

I'm curious about the teleportation device used in this scene.

Does it ever crop up again?

These reanimated collabs can be a lot of fun.

I worked on a scene Dragonball reanimated.

I look forward to seeing how your scene fits together with the rest of reanimated cartoon.

Excellent job.

Thunder28X responds:

Thank you very much!

The teleportation device doesn't appear later on, though that would have been cool.

The Dragonball Reanimated was great! One of my favorite Reanimated videos! I'll rewatch it and look for your scene.

This cartoon was hilarious.

I really love how you turned a simple immature gag into a completely insane movie.

You took the chance to think up brand NEW gags.

This could have had the predictable outcome of simply ending on a Goku hair turning blonde and pooping.

Goku did go Super Saiyan when pooping but it didn't end there.

You escalated the gag farther to mock actual aspects of Dragonballz.

The escalation of the gag added more for a lot of insanity that wouldn't otherwise have been in this cartoon.

I wasn't expecting to actually laugh but you accomplished creating something genuinely funny.

Great work.

POSTBOY responds:

Wow thats really nice of you thanks

It's very cool that you managed to create a newgrounds submission animated using cels.

It's even more impressive that this was posted in 2007.

I'd like to see future attempts at Cel animation on Newgrounds.

Newgrounds has a Video Player now.

Cel animation could play back a lot better at a video.

I'm very impressed that this submission worked within the old technical limitations of Newgrounds.

The Technical limitations have changed.

You can post cel animation as a video here now.

You had a very cool idea.

OscarBaldwinStudio responds:

Thanks. I'd like to post some Bill Plympton style hand drawn cartoons on paper in future too.

I really love how the characters clash against the backgrounds.

It makes the characters POP more.

If you combine that quality with changes in color according to lighting situations than you will have created perfect color.

The Characters POP against the background is a step in the right direction.

You have a great idea by starting off tame and increasing the intensity as you move closer towards the climax.

the extreme contrast in tame visuals with the shocking adds an extra punch to it.

if everything is shocking than nothing is shocking at all.

Horror is all about the build up and you knew this.

The soundtrack reminds me of a lot of those late night crime dramas in some places.

I really loved the some of gags such as the dog barking once after finishing a complex grammatical sentience.

I don't have much criticism with the gags but you could incorporate the same kinda build up techniques used in your horror movie.

You seem to have a real knack for creating an entertaining Halloween special.

It was really fun to see a Yonder Ho Halloween special.

Happy Halloween.

Bertn1991 responds:

I don't know if you saw the credits, but the 'special thanks' was to you. Thanks for sticking around all this time. I appreciate it.

Glad you appreciated the build up and the colors. You're totally right about shock value, too. It's best in moderation.

I'll work on tightening up the funnier moments in future episodes. Thank you for the review, as always. And I know it's already November, but happy Halloween!

a Ninja movie is a really cool idea and could be an entertaining show.

What causes certain characters antagonize to one another?

a fight scene is not only part of a story.

It can also be the story.

Dive into the politics of your fight scene.

who are your characters?

spend a bit more time on the character's emotion and body language.

story and character is very important too.

get inside the mind of your characters.

thinking up fight scenes with a story to tell will become a bit more easy.

I look forward to seeing your better movies.

Keep going.

This was really cool.

Tantemal responds:

Thanks for the feedback, will definitely add from your advice in my next anime, as this one was more of an animation reel.

You seem to have a lot of potential but you appear to need much stronger reference material.

I recommend getting art influences outside of animation, comics, anime, ect

Study the influences of your favorite artists as well.

You are already studying the classics such as Dragonballz and other older cartoons.

Add real life as an extra influence to add more accurate anatomy to your drawings.

Study how real people look and human anatomy will become much easier to stylize.

study the muscles in arms, legs, torso and how they fit together.

Study the human face to understand how the facial features connect together.

Study everything until you don't need the reference anymore.

You already built a lot of muscle memory from drawing dragonballz characters.

You will already naturally get better at drawing dragonallz characters but you can always excel farther.

You can also study lights and shadows.

Think about where the light is coming from before adding shadows.

The shadow on frieza's neck and under the face does make a lot of sense.

I seen shadows on the necks of real people before.

observe real life and compare it to anime.

You will notice that a lot of anime uses real life observation in it's drawings sometimes.

You got some really great early work.

You'll create brilliant work with a bit more slickness and refinement.

Keep going.

ProudGamerBoss9000 responds:

Thank you for this advice. I will do better (Or at least a little) on my next animation. This is a dumb excuse but I started animating for about a week but I am getting the hang of it and I am glad I found Newgrounds. People like you telling me how to make my animations better is what I need. And again I thank you for this advice.

I created cartoons for newgrounds since 2003 and collaborated with artists such as livecorpse, Billy Monks and others.
I'm also known as PowerRangerYELLOW on my alt account.
I hope to make more cartoons soon.
