Pretty cool drawing of Kanada.

The shadows around the face is a nice added touch.

The shadows around the nose and eyes will look a bit different because of the distance.

Skull anatomy and how flesh wraps around the head is a little bit complex.

The drawing style of Akira is not entirely realistic but a very stylized version of realism influenced by the artist's own interpretation of reality.

You are seeing reality through the creator of akira's eyes.

It is possible to take akira fan art to the next level by injecting your own interpretation of reality into an already strong piece,

I do enjoy that you drew Kanada entirely within your style and I hope to see more your works taken to another level of stylized realism.

Keep at it.

Very cool.

KonanSaurus responds:

I really appreciated man, Thank you!

I really love the colored outlines applied to these characters.

It looks a lot more interesting than the expected black outlines applied to the drawings.

You even change the outline colors according to various surfaces and textures.

wrinkles in clothes have kept to a minimum which works with the cartoony anime look.

The colors are excellent.

You used contrasting dark and light colors but within the same family of light colors.

Not easy way to create contrasting colors but works in a very tasteful way.

I like the brush like look used to create interesting textures.

Excellent work.

I have been really enjoying your artwork so far.

I hope you post more stuff in 2019.

Rafchu responds:

Thank you so much for your feedback, that's very thoughtful!
I'll keep on posting regularly, I love this place and its users -_^ happy new year!

Auska is my favorite character in eva.

I really love the jumping pose.

PowderRune responds:

Thank you! I had been on a pinup roll and thought it was time to make a more action-packed drawing. Glad you like it!

This is a very distinctive and appealing way to draw anime characters.

It looks really cute and has a lot of Cartoony Charm.

MeghanLuna responds:

Oooo Thank you! :) I'm glad you're digging the style :)

You drawn a really cute girl.

You did a great job on colouring the shadows of the collar bone and neck bone.

I love the details of wrinkles in the clothes.

You really understand how the facial features fit inside the head.

The nose, philtrum and lips all fit together.

You really know your anatomy.

MLeth responds:

Thank you! Cartoons are based on reality which is something a lot of people forget so using real references goes a long way to get anstomy and proportions right!

Your drawings have really evolved a lot.

Your characters are starting to have chins and Jawlines.

A lot of old drawings used circles for heads but now you have improved significantly .

Your new work seems to have an increasing understanding of human anatomy.

This has to be the most professional looking of your work so far.

I look forward to seeing what your new art looks like in 2017.

I will be reviewing your new work according to higher standards because of your impressive improvements.

You got more talent than I expected.

Keep drawing and stay motivated.

Wriizzy responds:

Thanks dude that really means a lot, I appreciate the kind words and support.

You did a excellent job at painting your cloud with such vivid colors.

Did you look at actual clouds while painting this picture?

I love all the textures within the clouds in your picture.

The birds in the sky was a nice touch too.

This picture is awesome.

artbycaiti responds:

Thank you very much! And yes I like to have a few references to look back on to get the feel for the clouds. I enjoy taking pictures of really awesome sunsets and cloudy days keep on hand.

The house on each side makes an excellent framing boarder for the overall picture.

Tracing the houses and ground as one outline will show the overall shape of the picture.

The shapes within shapes work together in harmony.

You have more talent than you give yourself credit for.

That's an awfully kind review. Thank you so much! I just pretended like I knew what I was doing with this one. Andways, thanks again :D

This room appears to be based entirely on an actual room.

The coloring is tastefully done and has a few subtle textures along with some subtle contrast in the darker parts of this room.

This is a very warm and inviting background.

Bertn1991 responds:

It actually is a real room. I did a master copy of a photograph, though, I tried to make the colors more pronounce and exaggerated. And of course I also added the paintings in the background and little things like that.

Thanks so much for writing such a kind review. I'm genuinely happy you liked it :^)

* Oh, and Tömgarten means library.

This picture has a lot of obvious influence from dragonall.

The background reminds me of king kai's planet.

The dragon looks a bit impatient and is waiting for the red headed girl, ball of yarn and floating monster to make their wish.

The shadows on the ground in the shapes of it's object is an interesting subtle detail.

The two planets in the sky and cloud formations appear to have the most detail.

A good solid drawing but a bit more extra polish in the shading, lighting and shadows would have been perfect.

Keep making those brand new drawings and slow down if needed.

Thanks, Mighty!

I didn't realize you were a Dragon Ball fan, then again who isn't these days? I've seen every episode of Dragon Ball, DBZ, and even GT. This doesn't really pertain to anything, but I'm pretty big on Dragon Ball, so I'll take a Toriyama comparison any day.

I wasn't going for a King Kai's planet look, but now that you mention it, it is shockingly similar.

I love the observation you make about the girl making her wish and the dragon being impatient. I honestly hadn't even thought about that. I just kinda drew my mind without putting much thought into what was actually going on. I guess doing things that way, the story is whatever you make of it.

This doesn't have anything to do with anything, but the planet is Earth, but in my own fictional universe in which all of my drawings and animations take place. The two bodies in the sky are two of Earth's three moons.

Thank you for a thoughtful review. I fully agree with everything you mentioned. This was the first time that the bulk of the drawing wasn't done in MS paint, so much of it was me experimenting with new things like shadows. And this again has nothing to do with anything - I don't know if you clicked on the full sized image, but this drawing is ENORMOUS.

Anyways, thank you very much. I'll keep on trying my very best, if even just for my few, but very awesome fans :-)

I created cartoons for newgrounds since 2003 and collaborated with artists such as livecorpse, Billy Monks and others.
I'm also known as PowerRangerYELLOW on my alt account.
I hope to make more cartoons soon.
