I like how you placed your own twist onto your drawings of Homer simpson and Peter griffin.

The voice impressions of each character were bad and laughable.

The bad impressions add an extra layer of comedy to this submission.

The way homer said, "Doh" was very funny.

I don't get your slenderman references because of my lack of knowledge about that video game.

I would have liked to see more lively poses in your animation.

Peter and homer just stood there.

Most of the humor of that scene needed the voice acting.

Practice creating more dynamic poses for your characters.

The slender man section of your movie had much more visually appealing animation.

The slender man section shown a lot more experimentation with the drawings.

You could have done more experimentation in the familyguy/simpsons section as well.

Play around with the colored outlines, backgrounds, drawing style, ect.

Just be sure to have fun playing around with all of the visual elements inside your cartoon.

You created a funny cartoon but with some more playing around with the animation.

You can also make the silly cartoon a bit more visually engaging.

Keep animating and always try new things.

GuiltyPixel responds:

Thanks for the constructive criticism. :D I'm working on trying to get better with poses and anatomy right now, and also backgrounds. And I also need to get better at animating movements while they're talking so it's not boring.

Your movie has a very funny premise about the final episode of naruto.

The final episode of naruto deviates away from it's original source material.

An actual final episode could never actually get away with that.

You've drawn the characters to remain recognizable but have significantly downgraded their attractiveness.

You've really placed your own twist onto the naruto art style.

I personally didn't find the movie to be very funny.

It just wasn't my kind of humor to be honest.

I still found entertainment value based on the visual elements of your submission.

This submission is very visually interesting.

The simulated VHS tape effect could have looked a bit more convincing.

A simulated cel animation look would be perfect with your simulated VHS effect.

It is also possiable to create a geniune VHS tape containing original cel animation.

The combined cost of material needed to create an Anime VHS tape would be astronomical.

Creating a simulated cel animation look using an image manipulation program would cost nothing.

A simulated cel animation look along with fake VHS tracking would be perfect.

You missed a few opportunities to completely satirize naruto to it's full extent.

The characters in your movie displayed a lot less personality than the original Naruto characters.

You missed an opportunity to spoof the actual characters themselves.

Your movie didn't really allow enough time for each personality to shine.

You could have utilized knowdege of the characters to add more comedy.

A good parody requires both a critical eye and an encyclopedia level of knowledge.

This movie mostly had a very critical eye but didn't display complete knowledge about Naruto.

This movie has picked a good target for parody.

Speedo responds:

Thanks for the review.

It went into a lot of detail.

I appreciate this.

Thanks.

I love how the kirby characters were drawn.

The simple backgrounds works effectively for this kirby based submission.

You could create more distinct fan animations by experimenting with your drawings more often.

I like how the character designs were accurate to the world of kirby.

You used different color outlines besides just black outlines.

work on placing your own twist onto the kirby art style and you will create a much more visually interesting cartoon.

You drawn kirby very accurately and ready to add your own twist onto the kirby art style.

Make another kirby movie.

gamebrojimmy responds:

Thanks for the tips, Im still trying to find a style that I like and suits me. I'll keep at it and keep trying to improve myself

I love the expressive face given to mega-man.

His disappointment with the mega buster being smaller bursts of energy was obvious.

The animation is surprisingly smooth for a first time submission.

You could actually add onto this movie by making it longer.

An increased run time will give you a chance to add other stuff to the movie.

You could even package the flash movie like an interactive DVD.

The cartoon could also be a video uploaded to youtube, newgrounds or where ever else.

You can expand upon this small little animation and place into a more ambitious project.

Keep making those new animations and use that megaman animation again.

Best of luck.

Daqaroni responds:

Thanks man! I'm glad you like it!

I was actually considering making this longer but between school and stuff
I had to settle with this.

I was also considering putting this up on Youtube or other stuff but i think i'm
going to stick with Newgrounds for now.

I'm pretty sure that I will either redo or edit this little animation in the near future,
especially since it was my first one.

Thanks so much for you feedback dude, I really appreciate it, and thanks for being so honest!

This movie had a very silly premise and was executed in a humorous manner.

The voice acting sounded a lot like professional acting.

You either utilized some extremely talented voice actors or borrowed the audio from somewhere.

I would describe the art style as chubby stick figures.

The voice acting used for this submission really adds a kick to this movie.

The actual characters themselves could be a bit more emotional.

Draw exaggerated facial expressions to go along with the voice acting more often.

You want to create a cartoon that can potentially entertaining without sound.

sound does adds a lot to a cartoon.

Visual elements also add a lot of cartoon as well.

Try to avoid drawing the same facial expression twice as a possible ideal.

I love the body language of your characters.

A lot of your characters communicate with their bodies and often use their hands while talking.

Most people use their hands while talking to hold your attention.

This was a very enjoyable cartoon.

Try to take your drawings to the next level in possible future submissions.

experiment with using different aspects of your own drawing style.

You can even teach yourself how to adapt learned skills from your past movies onto new cartoons.

Just be sure to have fun while experimenting with new ways of creating cartoons.

Keep making those new submissions.

Cheetoh responds:

wow thank you so much for the feedback. I always had an issue with voice acting and i'm glad I actually improved. Thanks for the advice and i'm gonna listen to it

This movie has a very unique visual style to it.

I love how you often create gradients by using multiple shades of solid colors.

I love how you used different shades of colors for the drawn outlines.

The music used in this movie sounded very cool.

You were always great at utilizing some really cool music for your submissions.

The blood effects look awesome as always.

I would describe the style of this movie as abstract art.

The title, "Abstraction 5" was appropriately used.

I wish this movie was a bit longer because the whole thing was very entertaining to watch.

The little girl was attempting to get the last bit of cereal into her bowl.

I like how you gave her a very expressive face and the poses were awesome.

I noticed a bit of squash and stretch technique in the animation as well.

The background look to be created in photoshop.

It seems to blend together nicely with your character.

I'd be interested in watching another cartoon in this style but with a bit more experimentation.

You can messing around with multiple shades of the same color.

Use different colored outlines besides the usual black outline.

Try creating backgrounds in different styles and use different kind of tools.

Keep making those cartoons and trying new things.

Jectoons responds:

Hey, thanks a lot for the review and suggestions! I really appreciate it. Will look into them when making new cartoons. Glad you liked my little short. Cheers!

I love how you combined backgrounds created in a digital manipulation program with action figures based on the transformers movies.

Would it be possible to also create hand crafted sets too?

Honestly any kind of background for stop motion movies would work effectively.

I'm very pleased you took extra time to add backgrounds.

I seen too many stop motion submissions with no backgrounds.

A lot of stop motion submissions will usually film from a table and not even create sets.

This series might be interesting.

A very effective trailer.

- Mightydein

LSanimation responds:

Thanks :) I want this to be as cinematic as possible at the same time keeping it under tabs in terms of time and budget. In the future I shall build some actual sets for the stop-motion videos (such as using train model scales and etc) but right now this is the best option :)

This was very visually impressive with all of it's extreme attention to detail in the backgrounds and the animation poses looked great.

You used plenty of camera angles and even included some semi 3D stuff in there.

Much of the visual stylings remind me of both Adam Phillips and RTIL.

It looks you combined their elements from both their past newgrounds submissions and built onto them.

I like how you effectively incorporate multiple sources of light for lighting and shadows.

That is a very difficult task with animation because shadows with clear direction takes a lot of thought behind it.

Drawing in general can sometimes be difficult because it can take a very long time to observe all the details.

I sometimes practice drawing from real life subjects and despite careful observation; certain details are still missing.

Observation before drawing takes a lot of practice and is often a very slow process.

I assume you have practiced drawing from real life to a certain degree.

A lot of the trees, grass, water, clouds and other backgrounds look beautifully drawn and colored.

You placed a lot of careful attention into the colors for the painted backgrounds.

The character designs of this animated short looked a bit too much like anime.

More distinct character designs in an entirely different style would have worked effectively as well.

There is nothing wrong with having some anime influence in your drawings; However, you can easily put a brand new twist onto the anime influenced character designs.

Dexter's lab, Power puff girls, Samurai Jack and Scott Pilgrim are examples of cartoons with both anime influence and entirely distinct drawing styles.

The overall movie was one of the most visually impressive movies on this website.

Make more of these kind of movies but experiment with different types of character design styles.

When you settled onto your perfect distinct drawing style than you will have created an official calling card.

Keep making new art.

The premise of this movie is about a ninja assassin sneaking up onto his target.

Ninja failed in his objective.

I find a lot of these shorter flash movies to be kinda cool.

The music had a ninja like feel to it.

The lyrics and instruments worked together in the creation of a pop styled song.

The music stopped suddenly to illustrate an abrupt end.

The movie looks to be created quickly but is surprisingly polished.

I like the multiple shades of the same coloring.

You do interesting things with color for your movies.

I remember watching one of your other movies and being impressed.

Piranha is still one of my personal favorites.

I didn't notice any uncolored areas or gaps.

That visual flaw is usually very common with flash movies and can easily be spot in rushed works.

That visual flaw did not exist in this movie at all.

The background on the roof top had a very sketchy look to it overall.

Even when the ninja was not moving.

You seen the outlines of the drawings jiggle a little bit.

It shows your work; However, an animation of the ninja clothes moving in the wind would have been more effective.

The animation was still very entertaining to watch.

Some longer movies from you would be great.

I really like your work so far.

Keep making new flashes.

I created cartoons for newgrounds since 2003 and collaborated with artists such as livecorpse, Billy Monks and others.
I'm also known as PowerRangerYELLOW on my alt account.
I hope to make more cartoons soon.
