I like the attention to detail on the heart and how you drawn veins.

The background displayed a lot of creativity and actually looks really neat.

The lettering looked great too.

Unfortunately the movie's animation was simply a motion tweened heart to simulate pulsating.

The movie is very bad by technical standards and is merely a step above a blank screen.

I consider this to be an extremely bad movie; However, I do my best to point out the positives and ideas for future improvement.

This movie can improved by increased run-time and adding a lot more animation.

You seem to be very good at drawing and have the potential to create something better.

Please try again.

This appears to be a possible early animation created in flash.

The movie could use some sound effects, voice acting and music.

Sound in flash can be added by clicking file than import.

You than need to create a second layer for sound.

Sound adds an additional needed element to your flash movies.

Animation is a visual medium and my review will be focused on visuals.

You display clear signs of inexperience with both your animation and drawings.

You used a bit of tweens and some frame by frame.

The drawings were very amateurish and some of the brush strokes were a bit messy.

You sometimes leave areas uncolored and leave gaps.

Take extra time into filling those gaps because uncolored areas can often be an annoying visual flaw.

You might sometimes miss gaps; However, attempting to fill all coloring gaps is something to strive for.

You did an alright job on the backgrounds within the school.

The actual school itself was simply a square with a crudely drawn door.

Actual buildings are very difficult to draw and have lots of complicated details.

Take some portable art supplies on your next walk passed a school house.

Take a careful look at the school and than draw what you see.

You can also use google to seek out images of schools for drawing material.

You displayed a lot more attention to detail on the shots inside the preschool class room.

The humans can be drawn a bit better as well.

It takes a bit of increased observation of your surroundings and practice to make improvements with drawing.

I love how you used multiple camera angles and how certain shots were used for establishing emotions.

The little girl's state of mind was clearly on display in certain shots.

The shot of the teacher as a threatening monster displayed the little girl's imagination.

She became scarred and her mother provided comfort.

You made an interesting tribute to your mother.

I hope this review has helped you with making future improvements.

ReyaneAshtar responds:

Thank you so so much for taking the time to tell your ideas! I totally agree with my art being a little slacked but hey! There's room for improvement!!

The music of this movie was very tranquil and seemed to slow things down.

The pace was easy going.

The music combined with animation created a very peaceful feeling.

I love all the frame by frame animation used for this movie.

Using frame by frame displays more effort than other forms of animation because each drawing slightly changes with each new frame.

The collection of drawings accumulate overtime and the final result is moving drawings.

The great thing about animation is how it is possible to view an alternative universe.

The world of fantasy in it's purest form can be created with human hands.

I love cartoons because it offers the closest possible glimpse into the imaginations of others.

People sometimes have funny fantasies, sick fantasies, sad fantasies, ect.

Animation offers a lot of freedom because it doesn't have the same limitations as live action.

It is pretty much possible to draw anything and than move those drawings.

Most other cartoons share the same power; However, the motion tween feature is utilized more often than fbf.

A well executed tween is a very useful tool to assist with animation.

It can sometimes blend well together with frame by frame.

The entire movie is mostly pure frame by frame animation.

I award high points based on the usage of this very difficult way of creating flash animation.

I'm personally not a fan of these speed drawing videoes to be perfectly honest.

I find many of these speed drawing videoes to be boring; However, it can often be interesting to observe the drawing and coloring techniques of other artists.

I notice you plan your colors out by first doing some experimentation on scrap paper before deciding on appropriate colors.

I never thought to work out my colors on scrap paper before choosing colors.

I may have to steal that technique for coloring my own drawings on paper.

This movie can be improved upon by including the names of your art supplies, time spent on drawing, ect.

On screen statistics is very useful information to include for educating your audience.

The brand of paints, markers, coloring pencils will help potential audience members in buying possible art supplies.

I noticed you used certain japanese brands of marker.

The video was a very generic speed drawing video and future speed drawing videos can be enhanced.

Next time include statistics on time spend and brands of art supplies.

AngelsDead responds:

Thanks for your honesty!

You may steal that technique :3

The only difficult thing is that I dont know how to add time worked at the drawing and the artsupplys I used :/

But Ill try to learn it!

Hello, GamerGuy64

I will be reviewing your short animation and will provide feedback in the form of in-depth analysis.

Lets begin this review by mentioning the music.

I like the video game like music at the start of the movie.

That one second song has worked effectively as a theme song and is very much appropriate for short skits.

The intro was a good example of animation and music working together in synchronization.

You paid very close attention to the music and animated with rhythm.

The one kid yelling,'' Somebody, call the police'' over acted; However, the kid getting arrested should have placed more emotion into his acting.

It's generally better to overact than to underact in my own personal opinion.

I would rate the overall voice acting as passable.

The first background looked bad and could have used more detail.

The road and sidewalk looked okay but the buildings were multi colored squares.

The sky displayed a clear day and eliminates the work load of adding moving clouds to the background.

Your characters were animated frame by frame.

The character designs didn't strike me as having a recognizable art style.

You are likely learning how to animate and draw.

The movie displays clear signs of being inexperienced.

You will get better with practice easily with each new submission to this site.

The one kid's glasses can get improvement by treating the lens like a transparent mirror.

Glasses often reflect light and sometimes reflects images more faintly than a mirror.

The glasses are basically an insignificant detail and your drawing in that area is passable.

The second background with the dead cats displayed less detail but was much more effective.

The second background in your movie looked better.

The sky was also clear in that background and eliminated a need to animate constantly moving clouds.

Background clouds can be animated with simple motion tweens, frame by frame or both.

There really is no wrong way to draw the sky because it endlessly changes.

Clouds often move and change pattern formations.

The sky comes in a variety of colors besides blue in real life.

The sky in winter is often a shade of brown at nighttime.

The sky can often be a fascinating thing to watch sometimes.

You could watch the sky to get inspiration on ways to create different types of sky backgrounds.

As already mentioned; There is no wrong way to draw sky backgrounds because the real sky constantly changes.

You can mix solid colors, create gradients, paintings, sprites for creating sky backgrounds.

The sky background is open to experimentation using a variety of looks.

I like red spotlight special effect for representing a police car; However, lights off of a police siren move and change color.

It's generally a red and blue light pattern for a police siren.

The characters facial expressions remind me internet memes.

More tailored facial expressions would add an extra element of humor.

The eyes on the kid yelling, '' somebody, call the police!'' could have the iris of his eyes rapidly change to display panic.

Don't be afraid to play around with the eye shape and pupils.

In animation the eyes can do impossible things such as bug out, form swirls, change shape, ect

You can sometimes read emotion in the characters eyes; However, other facial muscles also add to the overall form.

Play around with the facial features of your characters to more effectively display emotion.

Thus concludes my in-depth analysis of your short animated cartoon.

Silly little skit but the drawings can use some improvement.

Many of brush strokes were very sloppy.

One line drawn on the toaster didn't even connect to the overall form.

The photo backgrounds at the end could have been used as reference material for drawn backgrounds.

You could have traced the photos, drawn from reference without tracing or anything else.

Live action elements rarely mix together with drawings and often looks out of place.

I haven't noticed any uncolored areas and gaps in the drawings.

Sometimes, other animators don't spot them and forget to make corrections.

Mel Gibson's live action tweened arm could have used some clean up.

I seen some white artifacts around his arm.

It's generally a pain in the ass to clean up photographic sprites to be used in flash movies.

You have to clean up the PNG file by extremely close inspection and erasing individual pixels if needed.

It is very difficult to create usable flash symbols from photos, paintings, Photoshop images, ect.

You generally need to clean up the images carefully before importing into flash.

A photo of arm would need clean up on outside of the outline to avoid ugly artifacts.

The more traditional square outline image doesn't require clean up because it functions as a background.

Foreground objects, characters created in programs outside flash will need to be cleaned up.

The music didn't strike my memory and didn't cause strong reaction either way.

I hope this review helps you with the graphics department.

You created an original skit using your own characters and are utilizing the voice talents of either one actor or two.

Each character was given an entirely distinct suitable for the character designs.

One of the voices sounded like a child's voice; However, the character design seemed to be tailor designed.

A lot of your characters look very young and a youthful voice is not out of place.

I seen movies produced by younger kids that gave kid voices to adult characters.

It didn't work and made the overall movie increasingly amateurish.

You made certain that the voices fit together with your designs and managed to avoid a very common mistake.

I will assume you are a flash animator under the age of 20 and asked friends to do voices.

You seem to show a lot of promise and have started creating flash from a young age.

Most other animators on this site start in their late teens or adult years.

You already got a head start against your future rivals.

The movie itself would be something that I would consider to be average standard.

The fake PSA is a cliched comedy devise; However, the movie does have a good sense of humor.

The drawings on the characters use the standard black outline.

You can try experimenting with other outline colors to create different looks.

The backgrounds seemed to use different colored outlines and have shown more experimentation.

The skies in the background were clear.

Clear skies eliminates the work load of needing to create constantly moving clouds.

A moving cloud background can be creating using frame by frame or motion tweens.

I assume that you already knew this because you already display previous experience with animation creation.

The background on the tomb stone did have clouds; However clear skies would have worked here too.

Make those clouds in the background move to farther enhance visual elements of your movie.

The sky itself could have been created by using the gradient feature of flash.

Creating your own gradients is a simple way for creating more polished skies.

You can also use a mixture of solid colors and really experiment on different animation tactics.

The beauty of drawing the sky is that it can not be done incorrectly.

The sky is constantly moving and changing.

You can easily get all kinds of inspiration by observing the actual sky itself.

I seen the sky in white colors, red colors, brown, dark brown, black and different types of clouds.

You can do simple tweaks to create better skies for adding an extra element of polish.

The shadows worked well in the second shot after the robot was introduced at the start.

The shadows on the kid had clear direction; However, a darker shade on the kid's hair would have been more effective.

The shadow on the kid's hair was lighter than the original color and barely noticeable without inspection.

That shade of blue on the hair is more suitable for light rather than shadow.

The buildings in the background would cast their own shadows depending on the direction of the sun.

The windows on the one building near the kid would act as mirrors.

The backgrounds on the first shot were effective and filled with plenty of gags.

The windows on those stores could be enhanced as well by showing part of the inside.

You might see a fridge, shelves, counters and other details often seen in store windows.

You can also include signs on the doors that post store hours.

You can improve upon these details with both practice and increased observation.

A robot can be drawn in any fashion since it's an object that doesn't physically exist in reality.

You can basically work from your imagination and draw different types of robots without reference material.

I hope to have provided a detailed review for farther enhancement of future submissions.

Keep pumping those movies out.

theFierceKid responds:

You, my man, have earned a follower.

This movie has a unique blend of colors and the visuals appeared to be inspired by catoblepas's work.

Sometimes, people draw the same way as others unintentionally.

This movie reminded me of the medium of music video since it's basically a music video.

Animation and music seem to fit together in a perfect fashion.

I was entertained.

The voice of homer simpson is very distinct and easily recognizable.

Distinct voices for each character in a cartoon will bring animated characters to life.

The characters in your movie sounded like simpsons characters because of the audio utilized.

The drawings for this movie were very amateurish; However, the characters had very expressive faces.

Your own twist was placed onto an audio excerpt from the simpsons.

I would be interested in seeing movie with more original audio.

I would have added a lot more points had the movie displayed more originality.

Do more movies with that same style.

-Mightydein

theFierceKid responds:

Trust me man. I do. I did this because my friends would not expect something like this. Your response is very educated and I completely agree. Thanks.

This was a very crazy parody of the national lampoon movies.

You used the most memorable parts of the national lampoon vacation soundtrack.

The holiday roads song is often associated with the national lampoon movies.

That song was also very appropriate for an absurd parody of multiple national lampoon movies.

Those national lampoon movies share the same common formula and are mostly the same.

You parodied those movies very accurately.

The main protagonists of this flash movie were tom hanks and friday the 13th Jason.

These characters played the roles of Clark Griswold and Ellen Griswold.

I love the idea of characters replacing the roles of other fictional characters in a parody.

This was a very funny movie and a bit of late night fun.
