This is better than most other people's first movies produced on this website.

I like how you practiced animating walk cycles, fire and a entire variety of effects.

You can potentially recycle some of your older animation effects for other proposes.

Unfinished projects can potentially be used to finish other projects.

You shown a lot of significant improvement on day 7.

I look forward to seeing your new animations.

Keep drawing.

Kalixo responds:

Thank you very much, I appreciate the feedback :)

I love all the frame by frame animation used to manipulate the facial muscles in hank hill's face.

It looked like king of the hill but also had it's own twist onto mike judge's art style.

I've always wanted to see more cartoony facial expressions in the animation of king of hill and your short provided an entirely new interpretation.

Parody based on hank hill is still surprisingly common despite the tv series ending years ago.

This is one of the better hank hill spoofs.

Timing is extremely important with parody because references can quickly become outdated.

The mortal kombat parody finish moves is a ridiculously common type of flash movie.

I've often seen these movies manipulate already existing game sprites.

You added characters onto the mortal kombat game.

A lot of these characters from old cartoons, new cartoons, other video games, ect.

The combination of references was a strange mix.

I honestly would have rather seen this movie use drawings instead of game sprites.

Drawings would have increased the level of distinction away from other generic mortal kombat finishing move cartoons.

Claymation would also work too,

Lets forget about the movie's chosen look and move onto the rest of this review.

The voice acting sounded an awful lot like the originals.

Your actors did great voice impressions.

I personally found the premise your parody to be a bit overdone and generic.

I didn't enjoy the movie but have noted a lot of effort behind it.

Better luck next time.

You are the light of my life and brighten my dark days.

I love the colorful backgrounds and how you carefully shaded everything.

It had a simple look yet many of the drawings shown a lot of effort.

The video was creative and had an easy going pace.

The music combined with the animation induced a feeling.

That feeling was a sense of peacefulness much like the tranquility of mother nature.

Interesting music video.

I get that a lot of grunts in dragonballz sound a lot like they are suffering with constipation.

I seen a lot of dragonballz parodies use that same gag of character on the toilet.

The grunting for powering up is a very easy target for parody.

You've overlooked other aspects of dragonballz that would be perfect for parody.

The animation flaws could be mocked in the form of visual gags and dialogue.

You could also make fun of other aspects of voice acting besides the grunts.

You could do silly tough guy voices as a way to spoof certain anime voices.

Pay close attention to dialogue conventions, tropes, cliches, animation flaws and many over looked aspects of dragonballz.

To make a good parody; You need to watch the original show with an extremely critical eye.

Keep an eye for flaws and than subject those flaws for mockery.

This was not a very good dragonballz parody.

You drawn a great vegeta with plenty of tailor made facial expression.

The first background was great.

I love how the way you drawn the bathroom doors.

I really enjoyed the sight gag on vegeata's bathroom door.

Vegeata was taking a dump and his men's room symbol was the power up pose.

That one gag was actually pretty funny.

The house plant between the bathroom doors was an interesting touch.

A caution wet floor sign near the bathroom door would have been better.

I rarely ever seen house plants around bathroom doors.

A wet floor sign has been an extremely common sight near public restrooms.

That house plant is just a small nitpick.

I seen them around public washrooms but they are generally not common.

You did a good job on the first background.

The second background is missing important details.

The toilet looks excellent; However, the wall itself is bare.

Where is the toilet paper dispenser next to vegeata?

You can also add a bathroom sink, stalls and other possible details of a public washroom.

The effect of vegeata going super saiyan looked excellent and I love how the lighting was changed when the yellow aura appeared.

Vegeata's aura altered the lighting of the room.

The voice actor for Vegeta did a good performance with his grunts and scream.

His voice acting could be improved a little bit.

Vegeata's laugh sounded a bit fake and it is generally difficult to preform a laugh on command.

Perhaps, your voice actor can do repeated fake laughs until it becomes genuine.

Practice ways to include a genuine laugh on parts whenever the character laughs.

Doing an evil laugh can sometimes turn into genuine laughter during performances.

Your job as doctor to bring out the best possible performances out of your actors.

Vegeta did a good job except for his laugh.

I would continue working with him and assign different characters to him.

Encourage him to create new distinct voices for every character.

In closing; I've wrote a completely honest review and have noted both the good and bad.

I hope to have helped with identifying areas for improvement.

I personally didn't enjoy your parody.

Better luck next time.

May your future endeavors be more successful.

Thanks man!
I appreciate you taking the time to write out a review and leave constructive criticisms. I'll definitely work on improving!
Thanks again.

You don't normally expect a stick figure movie to be harsh on computers.

I changed my settings to low quality and it still failed to smooth out the animation.

My computer is not pimped out and could barely handle your movie.

I would have appreciated buttons for adjusting quality settings.

You can also advise your audience to adjust quality settings for optimal viewing.

I would recommend testing how your future movies function on other computers.

You could simply get yourself a program for converting flash into video.

Some flash movies have way too much detail to run smoothly as an swf file.

The actors did a good job with their performances.

The sound effects had a lot of anime influence behind it.

Most people take for granted the importance of sound.

Sound has a surprising impact on any production.

This stick figure fight was obviously influenced by anime in terms of sound.

The sticks sounded like anime tough guys and sound effects were lifted from DBZ.

You used a high level of detail for a stick figure movie and a lot of fbf was used too.

Next time, advise your audience to adjust quality settings for a more optimal viewing experience.

The movie was a nice mixture of motion tweens and FBF.

The frame by frame animation seemed to mix very well with the tweens.

I love how you used drawings created on paper for creation of symbols in flash.

A lot of detail has been paid attention to these drawings created by pencil and paper.

Some drawings were simply cutouts to work with your backgrounds.

The blood effects were created entirely in flash; However, The blood could have also been created as a paper cutout.

Choosing a dull color for the flash animated blood was a good decision.

I noticed you used some of the tools in flash to blend with your pencil drawings.

The shadow effects using flash looked great.

The music used for this movie did not strike me as remarkable.

Something about your music soundtrack was not memorable music in my own personal opinion.

In closing: I just watched a very slick and cool looking movie.

I like the special attention to detail focused on your characters.

It's one thing to pay special attention to detail on beautiful subjects but many the characters were ugly.

People are universally drawn to beautiful people including stylized versions designed for animation.

Most people's first instinct is look away from the ugly.

I admire your dedication for taking the time to draw all characters well.

The coloring also added on the visually interesting movie.

You've given an entirely brand new look distinct from other movies on this site.

I recognize that same art style from your other pervious movies.

Your drawings have a signature look.

I was able to recognize your drawing style as your own calling card.

I only seen two of your movies including this one.

I personally found the other movies to be a bit boring and couldn't watch enough to write an actual review.

I generally only review movies completely watched by me.

The author takes their time to create entertainment for an ungrateful audience and it can often be a demoralizing experience.

I noticed all the special care behind crafting this movie.

You really shown your work; However, a certain level of work can only be noticed by the audience.

I've enjoyed this animated short in comparison to another movie by you.

Continue making these horror movie styled cartoons.

I tried my best to give completely honest feedback and hope to someday review another one of your new submissions.

I created cartoons for newgrounds since 2003 and collaborated with artists such as livecorpse, Billy Monks and others.
I'm also known as PowerRangerYELLOW on my alt account.
I hope to make more cartoons soon.
