This sequel works as a stand alone movie; However, a certain bit of information becomes lost without viewing the first Tough guys movie.

The recap at the beginning helps with making sense out of this new movie.

The events all started because two men in the gym were fighting over free weights.

The sequel is actually really crazy when placed into it's proper context.

The two tough guys befriended each other in the first movie and unintentionally destroyed the gym with a powerful high five.

This attracted the attention of the government and one of the tough guys was held captive.

The touch guy held captive had his muscles taken away by his kidnappers.

That is a very silly gag because muscles can only weaken from lack of exercise.

You made an interesting decision to introduce some badguys your show.

The previous movie although had some conflict did not have any actual villains.

Both of the tough guys are good guys.

Sometimes, good people get into petty arguments much like anyone else.

The first movie was basically a Good vs Good sort of movie.

That adds a certain sense of reality to the fantasy world.

The tough guys basically acted as antagonists to each other in your previous movie.

The second movie introduces more traditional styled antagonists to the show.

The army guys were obviously very bad and were cruel towards their prisoners.

I can understand that they would be curious about two men destroying the gym with a power high five.

My sympathy for these army guys ended when they took away one of the tough guy's muscles.

cruelty towards their prisoners has established the army guys as the clear cut villains.

This second movie continues from where the last episode left off.

I love the idea of presenting more episodes of this cartoon as a serial.

I didn't expect to see a second tough guys episode and I'm now curious about a third episode.

Your drawings are still a bit crude and amateurish; However, you compensated for this.

You took the simple everyday event of two men fighting over free weights and turned it into an imaginative serial.

I noticed you have utilized a lot of the special effects available in flash.

You used frame by frame, tweens, shape tweens, solid colors and gradients.

You don't normally see these effects used together in the same movie in most cases.

The characters were very cute in appearance but the drawings can still be improved upon.

The characters had very crude looking hands.

Take the time to observe the shape of actual hands to make improvements.

I love the science fiction theme behind the music video.

The chick who created the song did a good job and the accompanying visuals combined to make a music video.

This was a very neat little music video.

I like how you utilize hand painted backgrounds as part of your cartoon.

It's actually really cool since most people don't hand paint their backgrounds.

Your backgrounds look a bit rushed but still surprisingly visually appealing.

Take more time with creating your backgrounds to make them more polished.
Excellent choose in music and the voice acting worked with it's given subject matter.

I like the frame by frame animation used for this movie.

You draw very cute girls.

The little girl in the movie obviously had a man's voice doing a falsetto for comedic effect.

I like how the backgrounds sometimes act as a secondary character for enhancing emotions.

Those backgrounds used for enhancing character emotion looked great.

The characters had very expressive faces.

I did find plenty of humor in your movie despite a large chuck of your movie going over my head.

I don't know what you are spoofing.

In closing; The movie was surprisingly amusing despite your references being lost on me.

Silly little quick gag using spiderman and the hulk as characters.

You did a better job drawing the hulk than spiderman.

Spiderman's costume is missing the web design on the face and body.

You can easily improve at drawing spiderman by adding a spider web onto his costume.

Spiderman also has a spider on his chest for his costume.

Look into various spiderman media to make improvements at drawing spiderman.

You could even buy action figures to understand already existing characters in three dimensions.

I like the effect used for snow and how you drawn the snow flakes differently.

You could even change the colors of snow flakes to interact with the lights and shadows of your out door environment.

The house outside had some great coloring.

I hope this review has provided you with feedback useful for future improvement.

I look forward to seeing your other movies.

Rigamarole responds:

I tried to keep spiderman minimalistic. It was a stylistic choice that I went with to save time, considering I didn't want to spend too long on a cartoon based around a silly gag. Thanks for the feedback though! Greatly appreciated my man!

I watched the unknown assassin before seeing this movie.

Watching that movie first has provided a lot of humorous context to this current feature.

The movie can easily be understood as a stand alone entity; However, a certain level of humor becomes lost in translation without the previous installment.

That chick being tortured by those ghosts is no innocent victim because she murdered those three individuals.

The ghosts were dishing out cold revenge towards their killer.

The movie can easily be enhanced by adding some voices to the character's.

The girl only talked in speech balloons and voice acting would be a significant improvement.

I look forward to reviewing your other movies.

Keep drawing and continue to practice your craft.

LightningBolt13 responds:

Hey, I saw your other review, and sorry that I didn't reply. But thank you for commenting. I appreciate it a lot! Yeah I think I should've made it clearer that this wasn't a movie by itself.. And I'll try and voice next time, but I think it'll be worse because I have a really childish voice.

I created cartoons for newgrounds since 2003 and collaborated with artists such as livecorpse, Billy Monks and others.
I'm also known as PowerRangerYELLOW on my alt account.
I hope to make more cartoons soon.
