The movie was about a kid addicted to an arcade game because of his placement on the high score.

You chosen an interesting art style that is simple but also appealing.

The characters look cute.

You used a bit of shadows to make the cartoon look more polished and those extra bits of subtle detail add up.

I'm not sure if this is a first submission but it is surprisingly good for an early submission.

I look forward to seeing new movies from you.

Best of luck to your future endeavors.

CavernDave responds:

It's not one of my earliest submissions, but thanks for the feedback. :)

The drawings have a rough look to them and are not completely smoothed edged.

I personally prefer the rough look over the completely clean smooth brush strokes.

The graphics can be farther enhanced by utilizing hand painted backgrounds for a more interesting look.

I like how you created a back and white animation.

This movie has some great drawings and uses some very creative character designs.

Who are these characters?

I would like to learn about the personalities of your creations.

You've caught my attention but the show can be improved upon by making it longer.

I look forward to seeing more movies from you.

Thank you Mightydein for your comment, i'll try to work more in my animations and i try use ur advices for the next animation, now i'm thinking in the story i want to continue this, i hope you had fun with it.

I invite you to go to my channel got a couple of pictures of my characters =).

A lot of animated movies on newgrounds merely recreates the teenage mutant ninja turtles intro.

This ninja turtles movie while utilizing the theme song chooses to create it's own twisted interpretation of the theme song's lyrics.

The fast moving animation along with the silly drawing style adds an extra layer of comedy.

I miss seeing new livecorpse movies because his work always entertained me.

I hope more people get a chance to see this classic movie.

This is my favorite movies out of all your other works posted here.

I generally don't like video game sprite movies and strongly prefer movies that utilize drawings instead.

You have clearly shown yourself to be capable of drawing and have created custom video game sprite based on your character.

I would have liked to see future movies that utilize your drawings.

Come back and post new movies.

The audio is not very clear and understandable.

The microphone and surroundings will often effect the recording quality.

It is very important to pay the most attention to sound.

Most people will tolerate a visually bad movie if the sound is excellent.

I seen multiple animators use that same drawing style of fat stick figure style.

If you can draw in other styles than it is highly recommended to create a distinct look.

I find the gag about the cat being diagnosed with curiosity to be an interesting concept for a skit.

It's a twist on the phrase about curiosity killing the cat.

Work on improving sound quality and creating a more distinct drawing style.

Best of luck on your future endeavors.

I like the bit roughness of the brush strokes and the graphics could be enhanced by utilizing some lights and shadows.

The audio was somewhat scratchy since I heard bad audio artifacts.

Audio can often be effected by the environment of the recording, microphone quality, ect.

The audio recording can be a bit more crisp and cleaner.

This movie only contained an endless loop of one person saying one piece of dialogue.

The anime guy said, "Hello and welcome to WHDC" on endless loop.

The buttons on the top of the screen work and it can mute the annoying loop.

This movie is only one step above a blank screen.

Tsukubane responds:

Lights and shadows will be added. Wish me luck with those, I'm not the best at it.

I might need an audio guy. Someone to handle all that audio stuff.

Interesting experiment of combing simple moving lights along with sound.

Your concept reminds me of fantasia and a lot of other animations that have utilized music.

It takes a certain rhythm to create interruptions of music using animation.

You want the movements to match the rhythm of the musical notes and you will often watch animation that you created multiple times.

You will watch bits of your animation and often start over.

You are trying to match the rhythm of the music using animation.

This is a skill that can not be taught since it can only be learned from experience.

The advantage of using flash is that you can do live previews.

The animators in the golden age of animation often used metronomes and timing sheets to figure out rhythm.

This movie is really cool.

Lokjip responds:

Thanks for watching and commenting. Fantasia is a big inspiration for me. I'm amazed they were able to do the things they did with the limitations they had. I'm still learning animation and hope to one day do something that incredible.

The drawing style reminds me of anime and the chosen drawings look decent; However, the character doesn't move a whole lot.

More details generally makes the animation process more difficult and the resulting movie takes longer to make.

Simplifying drawings in favor of more movement is usually preferable to increasing levels of detail.

You can always use the more detailed drawings as money shots within the movie.

I recommend switching up different versions of your drawing style in order to remain motivated with creating animation.

Switch things up in your movie every-time you get bored working on it.

It looks interesting so far and the movie can be a bit longer.

sincomai responds:

I can animate at that detailed level, hence he was sweating and what not....the choice not to move him was on myself as its in the style of mike tyson mysteries....>.>...they only move in action, not while speaking, also, this was a test of my ability to do an animation in 8 hours.

The movie is a bit too short as a stand alone newgrounds submission; However, this piece is intended for a collaboration with multiple artists.

The run time is way too short to give me anything to work with.

I will attempt to write a review anyways.

The brush strokes are clean and you've chosen colors wisely to give a polished look.

The art style is your own interruption of dragonballz characters and created a surprisingly entertaining three seconds.

The video caught my attention and look forward to seeing that dragonball collaboration.

I thought that animation collaboration for sailor moon was kinda cool.

Maybe the reanimated dragonball might be a better movie.

I look forward to seeing more of your work.

-Mightydein

LeonDaydreamer responds:

Thanks Mightydein!
I know it's only three seconds, but I tried to make it the best three seconds I could. :)
I'm excited to see the full episode too! It was really fun working on it.

The drawings of characters from hokuto no ken are lifted directly from the anime itself.

I would have rather seen an interruption of the characters using your art style.

The blur effects used for ken shiro's lightening speeding punches looked kinda cool; However, that extra detail using bitmaps might cause lag on other computers.

Thinking ways around computer slowdown while still maintaining your desired polished look is a difficult balance to strike.

The mouth movements of the characters look completely wrong but it works here because it is an imaginary trailer to an english dub of a foreign show.

This is a solid tribute to fist of the fist of the north star.

I created cartoons for newgrounds since 2003 and collaborated with artists such as livecorpse, Billy Monks and others.
I'm also known as PowerRangerYELLOW on my alt account.
I hope to make more cartoons soon.
